Or you can hit your garage door opener remote and the opener carriage will reconnect with the trolley through the attachment point automatically. The first thing to do is hit the door button. You need to check the release handle and make sure that it is on the track. The emergency release cord is there to make sure that doesn t happen.

When the time comes to reconnect your garage door simply pull the emergency release cord back toward the door to re engage the spring lever. You will hear a loud click when the trolley attaches back to the carriage.
